Refinancing after Chapter 7

Is it possible to refinance a mortgage that is included in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy? I have heard 2 different answers from the same mortgage company? One says that, at that point it will be in foreclosure & that I can apply. The second says that since the mortgage was included in bankruptcy that I cannot. Yet, it doesn't make sense since regardless, the house will go into the foreclosure process.
